Socially Engaged Art Intervention Short Documentary Film
7 February 2024
The «EMPACT – Empathy and sustainability: The art of thinking like a mountain» project proudly presents a short documentary film offering a look at the Socially Engaged activities, five community-based art projects that unfolded throughout 2023 and were conducted by the Vorres Museum (Greece), Fondazione Lamberto Puggelli (Italy), Espacio Rojo (Spain), Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus) and the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts «Kr.Sarafov» (Bulgaria)
Each partner invited a established artist within the genre to collaborate with their organization, local communities, and art students. Together, they embarked on socially engaged art interventions, addressing specific challenges related to sustainability and promoting circular economy practices.
This short documentary film serves as a visual narrative of the artistic process and its positive impact on local communities and provides insights into the participating artists and how their involvement with the EMPACT project has influenced them in their artistic practices.
